Tonite’s Mens Pick for Final Four Championship Game

Tonite Rick Pitino goes to try to become the first college coach to win the D1 NCAA Mens Basketball Cgampionship at two different colleges or universities. If Louisvulle wins tonight he will have done it at tweo colleges both in the state of Kentucky.

Tonite’s Cardinals opponent will be going for it second tile, as will Louisville whose only champiuonship came under Danny Crum and Michigans came under Steve Fisher.

Ironic that Kentucky is involved in this championship game as Indiana and Kentucky are considered by many experts as the high school hot bed for high school hoops in the entire country.

Both teams could easily have lost their semi-final games. Lousiville who had to come from 12 doemn to edge upstart and upset minded Witchita State.

Michigan had all they could handle with Syracuse.

It will be the Big Ten vs. the Big East Tonight.

Michigan handled the 2-3 zone of Syracuse’s even with their star pont guard Tyrone Burke hit only 1 for 7 from the floor. Tonight they will have to handle another 2-3 zone, but it will be different as it will be a 2-3 matchup zone quite alot different then Syracuses straight 2-3 zone.

Louisville will ceretainly have to have a better game from their start point guard Smith who in scoring 21 points in the win over Witchita did not relly shoot the ball very well.

So the key to the game will be which point guard plays his normal game running their teams and in their shooting abilities.

Michigan who plays in the toughest ranked conference in the country has less pressure on them as a 4 seed and a 10th national ranking before the tournament started compard to Louisville’s number 2 national ranking in the second ranked conference behind the Big Ten.

Michigan finished 5th in the Big Ten while Lousiville won both the Big East’s regular season and conference tournament.

All the pressure is on Louisville and without the injured Ware they will have to get the bench performances that they got in the semi’s.

I am going with Michigan as they are the decided underdogs and all the pressure is on Louisville and Pinto in his attempt to be the first coach to win an NCAA Championship at two different schools.

Michigan is the better shooting team and an excellent foul shooting team. They will rely more on their basketball skills then they will their athletic skills and Louisville will be just the opposite in that they will use their athletic skills more than their basic basketball skills.

MICHIGAN OVER LOUISVILLE by 12 points.
