UMaine Men Get 2 Second Teamers and 1 First Team Defender as They Play Albany in AE Tourney

THe UMaine Mens basketball team place Justin Edwards and Ali Fraser on the America East Conference 2nd Team and got Mike Allison picked on the first All Defesive Team.

Not bad for a team that certainly underachieved this season and finished 6-10 in the conference regular season and 10-18 overall (Not counting D3 Opponents).

Albany placed Black on the first team and had a first teamer selection to the All-Rookie Team.

# 5 Maine 6-10 vs. #4 Albany 9-7 tomorrow night at 8:00pm in the last of the 4 quarter-final America East Conference Tournament held at Albany this year.

Maine was hoping to get Hartford in the first round in the 4 vs. 5 matchup. However Hartford and Albany tied for 3rd place but Hartford 10-6 won the tie breaker thus they finished 3rd and meet UNH 5-11 the sixth seed.

Number 1 Stonybrook 14-2 gets number 8 Binghamton 1-15 and number 2 Vermont 11-5gets number 7 UMBC 5-11.

If Maine should upset Albany then they would meet the winner of the Stonybrook-Binghamton Game in the semi-final round. Tough bracket having to beat Albany on its home court and then having to beat number 1 Stonybrook to get to the finals.

Remember 11-5 BU is ineligible for the Post Season Tpournament because they are leaving the AE Conference next season so there is no 8-9 playin game.
