UMaine Men Slip By Binghamton 64-60

THe UMaine Mens Basketball team evened the score with Binghamton tonight with a 64-60 win. Maine lead by 13 at half-time 33-20, but allowed the Bearcats to get back into the game in the second half as they outscored Maine 40-31 and fell just short of another win over Maine this season.

Maine moves to 6-7 in the Conference and Binghamton drops to 1-12 with their only win over Maine.

Maine shot 18-53 from the floor for 33% and Bing shot 21 of 69 for 30%.

Maine went 6-19 for 32% from beyond the arc and Bing was 3 for 11 for just 27%.

Maine went 22-38 from the line for 58% and Bing was 15 of 23 for 65%.

Maine had 11 assists to Bings just 3.

Maine committed 11 turnovers to Bings 12.

Maine committed 18 fouls to Binghamton’s 25.

Zarko V. lead Maine with 25 points on 5 of 11 from 3 point land and 10 fouls shots for his 25. Edwards added 12 and Fraser 10.

Binghamton was led Jordan Reedwith 29 points and 17b rebounds.

Albany pounded Hartford tonight big time 75 to 49.

Maine has 3 games left starting with on the road to Vermont, Home to Stonybrook and at UNH.

It is beginning to look more and more that Maine will finish in 6th place and draw 3rd place Albany in the opening round of the AE Tourney which will be held at Albany.

Maine has split with Albany with each winning on their home court.
