Not since 2000 when Hermon won the Eastern Maine Class B Boys Tournament and not since 1993 when the Joh Bapst Boys won the State Class B Championship, the KVAC B Teams have dominated the Boys Eastern Maine Boys Basketball Tournament.

The real difference in the schedules of both conferences is that the KVAC play all B games, but do not play the same teams once or twice.
The Big East B has 9 teams and like the KVAC schedule they do not play all the B teams twice or some even once. So some they play C schools to make up their 18 game schedules.
The strength of the worth of the C team is a big difference as is the B teams that both the KVAC and Big East B Teams play,
So if teams have the same won-lost records the differenc ein where they are in the heal points all depends on the preliminary index of of the teams that each team has beaten.
Another factor is that KVAC teams have larger enrollements which means they have more to choose from as far as numbers go.
Also, the officiating is not called as tight as Eastern Maine so the game is a little more physical then in the Big East B.
Eastern Maine has certainly dominated the 2000’s in winning 11 of the 12 Eastern Maine Class B Tournament Championships.
If the tourrnament was held today 1 game would be 2 KVAC Teams playing each other and the other 3 quarter-finals games would be one KVAC Team vs. one Big East Team.
However with most B teams in both conferences have 2 games left on their regular season schedule the positioning will change to some degree.
In, fact several teams still have a chance to gain a prelim spot if they get wins in their last two games.
