UMaine Women Snap 15 game Losing Streak with 67-51 Win Over Stonybrook

The Umaine Women finally won a basketball game this year as they beat Stonybrook at Alfond Arena on Saturday Afternoon snapping a 15 game losing streak and also getting their first conference win of the season.

Maine lead by 14 at the hal 29-15 and managed to hang onto the lead in the second half.

Maine was 23-543 from the floor for 43% and SB was 20 of 62 for 32%.

From beyond the arc Maine was just 2 of 13 for 15% and SB was 6 of 17 for 35%.

Maine won this game from the foul line as they hot 86% on 19 of 20 shooting and SB was 5 for 7 for 71%.

Maine had 14 assists and SB had 14.

Maine committed 21 turnovers to SB’s 17.

Maine committed 11 fouls and made SB pay at the line when SB fouled 16 times.

Roberts with 14, Wellington Walczak and Wood all had 12.

For Stonybrook. Klupenze had 14 and Previlon had 12.
