Maine High School Hoops Slows Down during Mid Semester Exam Week

Maine High school Hoops will slow down during this week because it is Mid-Semester Exam Week for many schools.

There were a few games played Monday, Martin Luther King Day, but for the rest of the week until Friday or Saturday look for less high school contests.

After this week there is only 2 weeks left until the end of the regular high school season.

The lkast countable date is Thursday Feb. 7 and the makeup date is Friday, Feb. 8.

The season as usual has gone very fast.

Today’s heal points standings show that there are still quite a few teams in contention for playoff prelim games on Tuesday, February 12 for the girls and Wednesday, Feb. 13 for the boys and then the tourney opens on Friday, February 15 for some of the classes..

For the teams that get a bye from the prelims, it is a real advantage as the winners of the prelim games have only 1. 2 or 3 days to get ready for their game if they play on Friday or Saturday.

Plus, the bye teams can scout the prelim games also which is an advantage especially if they did not play the winning teeam during the season.
