Hampden Establishes Itself As Odds On Class A Favorite in KVAC North

The Hampden Academy Broncos are still undefeated after crushing Lawrence of Fairfield last nite at Hampden 62-35.

Lawrence and Hampden both were 3-0 going into this contest.

Hampden has excellent depth, good size, excellent perimeter shooting and good ball handling. They will be very tough to take out this season, be it in the regular season or in the post season.

They will be out to defend their Eastern A Championship and make up for last years lost in the A State Game.

The KVAC North is a little weak overall talent wise this year as Bangor, Mt. Blue and Skowhegan are buiulding and are relatively young. Messalonskee is struggling and Brewer is 2-2 but have had close games with Lewiston and Lawrence.

Edward Little of Auburn is the only other unbeaten Class Eastern A Team. I believe Hampden and EL meet just one time this season.

The winner of that game will probably be the Tourney favorite.
