What the statistics say.

Maine had a good year offensively as a team. Their assists to Turnover ratio was below average. Only 15.8 assists for 29.2 field goals.

Field goal percentage was good at 44.6%

Foul shooting was good at 73.0%

3 point shooting was average at 34.9%. McLemore set the school record for most 3’s in a season and in a career. He was the only player to average more than 1 3 pointer made or attempted per game as he averaged 2.7 3’s made per game on 6.8 3 point FGA.

Fraser only averaged 10.1 FGA per game which means he did not get enough offensive touches in the paint so as to score more, force the double teams which would have lead to more open 3’s. Fraser had to be double downed on and double teamed. ……he could not be handled by one defender on the block.

Maine had trouble scoring in their last two games of the season as they scored only 48 in the last regular season game against Stonybrook in a 55-48 loss and scored only 40 points in the quarter-finals of the AE Conference Tourney in a 50-40 loss to Vermont.
