UMaine Men Lose to Stonybrook 55-48 and finish 7th and will meet Vermont in Opening Round of American East Tourney

With UMaine’s Mens lose to lst place Stonybrook 55-47 coupled with UNH victory over last place Binghamton 49-48 today at UNH Maine now finishes Conference Regular Season Play at 6 and 10 and in 7th place and will face Vermont in the opening quarter-final round of the American East Tournament next week at Hartford..

Maine shot,18-56 ffor 32.1% from the floor, 4-21 from beyoind the arc for 19% and was 8 for 11 from the line for 72.7%. They also had just 10 assists to 15 tunrovers.

Stonybrook shot 20 forn54 for 37.0% from the floor, just 3-14 from 3 point land for 21,4% and won thre game at the foul line shooting 12-16 for 75%. They had only 4 asists and 14 turnovers.

Maine had Fraser with 12 on 6 for 9 shooting and Edwards for 12, while McLemore went just 1-12 from the floor

3 point shooting was horrendous for both teams as they combined for just 7 of  35 for 20%.

How can a team get only 4 assists and win a game??????? That is what Stonybrook did today and Maine only got 10 assists. Stonybrook managed 14 assists so the turnover to assist ratio combined was a dismal 14 assists.29 turnovers.
