Finally, a team that really gets the ball to their big man on a regular basis. That and a very cold shooting night for Bangor produced a solid Hampden victory 47–37. Hampden led 47-31 until Bangor hit their hottest streak of the night when they hit two consecutive three pointers in the last 20 seconds of the game.
Althiugh Knight had only 16 points he found the open man when Bangor double downed and tried to double team him, which opened up his teammates for good shots.
Bangor struggled all evening in their shooting and you might credit that to some excellent defense played by Hampden.
Bangor was held to 30% field goal percentage from the floor on 15 for 50.
Knight had 16 points and McCue 15 for Hampden whiule Pat Steard led the Rams with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

McCue played an excellent floor game, as he did not let a poor shooting night for him effect his floor game.
Hampden trailed at the end of the first quarter 14-13, took the lead at the half 23-20, as Bangor could only manage 6 points in the 2nd period. H
Hampden increased their lead to 34-27 at the end of the 3rd period and then moved ahead by double digits in the fourth period to record the 10 point win.
It was Hampden’s easiest victory over Bangor this season as they beat the Rams in overtime and by 3 during the regular season.
Hampden moves on to play Mt. Blue a team they beat twice in the regular season in Friday nites Eastern Maine Class A Championship Game. B
Bangor finishes at 14-6 and had an excellent season as they only had 1 returning starter in 6’6″ Pat Stewart. They beat Lawrence 49-31 in the quarter-finals a team they lost to twice during the regular season.
