What Coach Got the Most with the Least in Quarter-Final Games??

Which coach got the most with the least available talent in the quarter-final games so far in the Eastern Maine Tournies in all classes???. My vote goes to Coach Carl Parker of Nokomis. After losing his Mr. Basketball Candidate Braley to Prep School for his senior yrear, his young Nokomis team took Gardner to overtime before losing’

Last year they lost a heartbreaker to Ellsworth in the tourney and with Braley returning looked like a real definite contender for the B Championship.

However, with the help of his returning players Coach Parker developed and lead his team over the season to a prelim win over waterville before losing to Gardner.

How many coaches could recover from losing a Mr. Basketball Candidate and prolific scorer and then turn out a tournament team with a young inexperienced roster?

Congratulations on a fine season to Coach Parker and his players.

It isn’t so much you do when you have all the horses. it is what you do when you don’t have all the horses, that determines the best coach of the year. Class B in the KVAC should go to Coach Parker.

With mostly underclassmen getting the majority of the playing classmen, look for Nokomis to be right in the thick of things next year as Coach parker has all of his starters returning.
