Top Seeded Hampden Boys Get By 8th Seed Erskine 53-38

The number one seeded Hampden Bronocs raced by Erskine Academy of China by 15 points to move onto the Eastern Maine Class A Semi-Finals next Wednesday againbst Bangor who beat Lawrence in the other bracket quarter-final 48-41.

Hampden lead at the end of each quarter, 15-8  28-18 36-29 53-38

Erskine might have had a little let down after upsetting 8th seeded Cony at Cony in the Prelim Game Wednesday. Motivation to beat Cony may have been the fact that the Cony Coach was a former Erskine Academy.

Hampden had 3 players in double Figures. Christian McCue had 18, Gilbray and Knight each had 10 while Duncan led the Eagles as the games high scorer with 20 points.

Hampden will find themselves in  the same situaton as did 4th seeded Lawrence, as they have defeated the Rams twice in the regular season in tough games. Hampden won the first game of the season at Hampden in overtime and then edged Bangor 42-39 at Bangor later in the regular season.
