The Maine Men lose another close one at home at the “PIT” 77-71 against Marist in their bracket0buster game.

Marist lead by 12 39-27 ate the half and Maine outscored them in the second half 44 to 38.Marist shot a hot 51.8% from the floor on 29 for 56 while Maine struggled at 39.7% on 25 oif 63. Marist also shot 55.3% to Maines 36.8% from beyond the 3 point arch. Marist was 8 for 15 and Maine was 6-19. Marist was 11-17 from the line for 64.&% to Maine’s hot 14-16 for 87.5%

Marist had 22 assists to Maine’s 16 and Marist had 17 Turnovers to Maine’s 13. Maine out rebounded Marist 33-31, but Marist was stronger on the offensive boarrds with 10 to Maine’s 5.

  Maine had 4 players in Doiuble digits. McLemore with 20, Allison and Edwatds with 12 each and Singelton with 11. Fraser had just 6 on 3 for 13 shooting from the floor.

Maine now awaits UNH on Wednesday at home in a big game that could decide oif they finsih tied, ahead or behind UNH in the final AE Conference Standings
